I was working in Rotorua, when I received a call from Northern Comms that just down the road a man in a car was believed to be committing suicide by gassing himself. I headed out and just 100m down from the station I saw a small white hatchback parked in a carpark. Sure enough the car was clouded in white smoke and I could barely see the occupant inside. I tapped on the window, the occupant rolled it down and through the smoke I could see that he was sitting there butt naked.
Turned out the guy was an Aussie tourist who saw steam coming out of the drains as he drove past, and being one to take advantage of the situation, he parked his car over the vent , opened the hatch, stripped down to nothing, closed the windows and was enjoying a free sauna.
