Esprit de Corps
In 2002 I was part of the team looking for the murderer of a person in the Counties Manukau District. The team had a person of interest targeted. Unfortunately, the target had many associates New Zealand wide who helped hide him for a period of time. In searching, the suspect team traveled to many parts of the country utilising local police staff and resources. It was with the unbridled help of police staff outside the Counties Manukau District that we able to ultimately capture the target.
This work story reiterates to me the true nature of the police, an â∠Âesprit de corpsââˆ- a feeling of family that truly embodies what the police is all about.
