Stroke Victim

Whilst at the Northern Communication Centre I received a phone call from a distressed female on Waiheke Island. A person who she thought was possibly drunk had been repeatedly ringing her and making garbled conversation. I obtained the phone number that the calls had been coming from and called the alleged drunk. I quickly realised this person wasn’t drunk but was in some sort of distress. Police and an ambulance were dispatched. At the address an elderly male was found suffering from a stroke and was quickly taken off to hospital. It was a great feeling knowing that I had helped ease the old man’s distress and possibly helped saved his life.
