Christmas Riot
There we were, at Whangamata beach, watching these drunken youths get louder and louder, and then the bottles started. After calling for assistance we backed up to the first intersection, and then the second. At the third intersection the decision was made to stand our ground - four policemen facing off against a mob of drunken youths... and then the locals stepped into the ranks to help police their own town. Outstanding.
