One day in May, we attended an address in Panmure and executed a ‘Warrant to Arrest’. But the occupant told us the offender wasn’t there. We then asked the occupant if we could come in and have a check. He was more than happy to let us in. Very friendly people and very nice house!
I thought it should be ok. Before I walked out of the address, I opened the garage door and detected a strong smell of cannabis.
We then invoked a power pursuant to Misuse of Drugs Act and searched the house thoroughly. We revealed a cannabis farm with more than 10 live cannabis plants inside the garage. All were about 50 cm tall.
Furthermore, we found more than 100g of cannabis plant materials, all ready to sell.
The occupant was arrested on a variety of charges and was convicted.
