Fancy Dress

I had been out of Police College about six months and was doing a routine patrol around a local school at about 10.00pm on a Friday night when I stopped a very nice Holden Commodore. I knew the car belonged to a local suspected drug dealer - a man who was renowned for being a bit of a ‘heavy’.

When I approached the driver, I immediately noticed a very strong smell of women’s deodorant coming from the car. Then I noticed he had on makeup which was very obvious. Looking further down, I could see he was wearing a fishnet-and-leather outfit (very much a ladies’ outfit) with suspender belt and attachments.

He appeared to be quite comfortable with me talking to him and I asked him where he was going.

His reply was, “Home.”

I asked if he had been to a fancy dress party.

He replied, “No!”

All was in order and I sent him off home.
