CSI
I’d been up half the night working on evidence because a guy had been shot through the face just as he’d stepped out of his car. Shot for no reason, and no one knew who’d done it. Several other cars had been hit too. Somewhere out there was a madman with a gun.
The phone went. It was daylight and I’d been asleep. “Can you come in?” I got up and dressed. By midday we knew who the shooter was, and his mate. Later that day they were locked up. Because of my work. You can’t ask for better than that. That’s one of the reasons I’m in forensics. Crime scene examination goes on where the other work can’t.
